|Bild Geologists will explain the condition of the Gorleben salt deposit
being explored as a nuclear waste dump at a media conference and podium discussion next
Tuesday 6 September. The civic action group Bürgerinitiative Umweltschutz Lüchow
Dannenberg (BI) is hosting the event at the Dannenberg pub Alte Post. There
will be a media conference with podium members at 7.15 p.m. and discussion is set to start
at 8 p.m..
Speakers will include the geologists Detlef Appel and Jürgen Kreusch, members of a working group appointed by the government to look for a final waste dump. They will summarise the science around the exploratory mine that has been driven into a salt deposit at Gorleben.
The scientific criteria warning against this for more than two decades can be heard on Tuesday, 6 September at 8 p.m. in the hall of the Alte Post in Dannenberg, says Althoffs release.
